Capacity Building

Enrich Institute, in collaboration with its local and international partners, offers capacity building to government, NGOs, the private sector and other stakeholder to raise their awareness, increase their understanding, building the experience and provide hand-on experience so that they can meaningfully contribute to policy planning and implementation. Enrich Institute's capacity building programs include: public lectures, workshop, conference, short training courses, exchange program and expose visit.

Cambodia Wildlife Day 2015

Enrich Institute in cooperation with the Global Shapers Community Phnom Penh, Winrcok International and USAID jointly organized the first Cambodia Wildlife Day on March 03, 2015 under the theme "Youth Participation in the Conservation of Wildlife in Cambodia. The objectives of the workshop are to get youth informed about the benefits of protecting wildlife, raise awareness on change of attitude toward wildlife and encourage them to take action to promote wildlife conservation. The workshop were opened by Mr. Curtis Hundley, Chief of Party from Winrock Internation and Mr. Heng Pheakdey, founder of Enrich Institute and Global Shapers Community Phnom Penh.  The events consists of many activities such as presentation from wildlife conservationist and volunteers, wildlife video documentary and photo exhibition, wildlife quiz and youth's message to wildlife heroes. The workshop was participated by over 100 youth coming from 15 different educational institutions in Cambodia.

Workshop Development Planning, Budgeting and Development Cooperation

NGO Forum in collaboration with Enrich Institute co-organized a workshop on Development Planning, Budgeting and Development Cooperation on December 24th , 2014 at Cambodia‐Korea Cooperation Center (CKCC) for 150 students to better understand the macro‐economic development planning in Cambodia. The workshop specifically aimed to enable students to: 1) Understand the rational of the existence of the NSDP 2014‐2018 and the development priorities to be achieved within 5‐year period; 2) Understand the source of financing (national budget and ODA) for the implementation of NSDP and the allocation 3) Apply their knowledge of the development planning, budgeting and development cooperation for their researches on the areas they are studying.

Enrich Institute in cooperation with The NGO Forum on Cambodia and the Royal University of Phnom Penh  conducted a half-day dissemination workshop on the “National Strategic Development Plan (NSDP) 2014-2018 and Development Cooperation and Partnership Strategy (DCPS) 2014-2018” for students from various universities and NGOs/CSOs at the Cambodia-Japan Cooperation Center (CJCC).  Approximately 250 participants from CSOs/NGOs, related government ministries, development partners, researchers, academia and students attended this event.
