Enrich empowers youth by engaging them in various social projects and activities. The main goals of such engagement are to build teamwork, foster creativity, sharpen leadership skill, and to gain hands-on experiences and contribute to the community.
Educating young students on rubbish management
A team of youth from Enrich Institute implemented a project on May 29, 2016 at Berng Prey (បឹងប្រិយ៍) primary school at Derm Chann village, Pon Sang commune, Praek Pnov district, Phnom Penh. They taught over 400 students from grade 3 grade 6 about environment, specifically in rubbish division, both organic and recycled. They showed the kids the video about rubbish education, shared plastic bags to clean the school environment, and gave them books, pen, pencil. They also donated 2 rubbish bins to school.
Teaching young students to love the environment
Youth from Enrich Institute organized a project "Planting trees, planting lives" at Kouk Banh Jaun primary school at the outskirt of Phnom Penh on May 12, 2016 to teach young kids to love trees and the environment. Project activities include giving short talks to students about the benefits of trees, involving kids in tree planting and rubbish clean up around the school and donating study materials and food to students.
Give a Hand for Hope Project
On April 30, 2016, trainees from Enrich Institute implemented a charitable project at "Give a Hand for Hope Organization" in Kompong Speu Province. The project focuses on reading habit, environmental issues, and hygiene. The team did fundraising and donated study materials to 70 children. They also planted trees, gave presentation about the importance of tree and hygiene by showing them how to correctly brush the teeth and clean their hands.
Tree planting field trip to Roveang district, Preah Vihea province
Enrich Institute in partnership with the Ministry of Environment mobilized 100 youth to join the community in planting 1000 trees in Rovean District of Preah Vihea Province. The project is part of Enrich Institute's youth engagement program aiming to raise awareness on the importance of tree in the context of climate change and to involve youth to contribute to the community.
Study Visit by Students from KAPE, Kampong Cham (June 25, 2014) Enrich hosted a study visit by a group of 30 students from KAPE in Kampong Cham. The purpose of this visit is to exchange ideas on some academic and social issues such as how to win scholarship, the importance of volunteer work, and how to improve public speaking.
Enrich 5th Beach Clean Up (June 06-07, 2014) Enrich brought 100 youth together in its 5th Beach Clean Up project in Kompong Som. It's Enrich's annual project organized to raise awareness among tourists and local sellers on the important of having a clean beach environment. The participants took part in various fun activities which helped promote team work, unity, friendship.
UN-REDD+ Concert (Dec 15, 2013) Enrich was one of the partner organizer helping to organize the UN-REDD+ concert to raise awareness on the important of forest and wildlife. About 6000 people took part in the concert at Kos Pich, Phnom Penh.
Donation to flood victims in Russeykrok commune, Mongkol Borey district, Banteay Meanchey province (Nov 17, 2014) Enrich brought donation to 100 villagers in Russeykrok commune in Banteay Meanchey province who were seriously affected the flood. Enrich donation included 1000kg of rice, noodle, soybean source, fish source, medicine, and clothes.
Donation to an orphanage in Kompong Som (July 07, 2012) Enrich brought 100 youths to visit an orphanage in Kompong Som province and donated to 100 orphans study materials including textboo, writing books, pens and pencils, food and medicine.
Campus Clean Up (May 19, 2012) Enrich volunteers participated in the campus clean up activity at Institute of Forieng Languages to promote clean and green learn environment.
Fundraising for For Charity (Feb 28, 2012) Enrich organized a real life "Angry Bird" game to raise money for charity. The event took place inside IFL campus. A total of 750,000 Riels was raised and donated to the Cambodian Red Cross.
