Center for Sustainable Energy

How can we provide the energy needed to support a growing population and greater economic prosperity, without damaging our environment beyond repair? Identifying and making the right decisions is not easy, given the large number of stakeholders, system inter-dependencies and high levels of uncertainty involved.

CSE is first ever research center in Cambodia dedicated specifically to deal with the issues of sustainable energy. CSE will thrive to be an independent, nonprofit center promoting strong policy and action to address ways to provide Cambodia with sustainable energy while protecting the global climate.

Mission:
  • Providing timely, impartial information and analysis on the scientific, economic, technological and policy dimensions of climate and energy challenges.
  • Bringing together business, the environmental community, policymakers, and other stakeholders to achieve common understanding and consensus solutions.
  • Helping employees and consumers save energy and money and reduce their carbon footprints

Activities
  • Conduct independent research in the field of energy and climate change
  • Provide capacity building programs for policy makers and civil society
  • Organize policy dialogue to effectively engage local and regional stakeholders in dealing with the challenges of energy and climate change
  • Promote public awareness and education on these topics
